Driveway inspection

Driveway inspections are required in Brown County in order to have a vacation rental.  The designated fire department for your area is tasked with driveway inspections. These inspections ensure emergency vehicles are able to access the buildings. 

The Brown County Volunteer Fire Department covers Washington Township and the Town of Nashville. If your property is in another area, please contact your local fire department.

IMPORTANT: There is a $100 fee associated with each driveway inspection. Your driveway inspection will not be completed until BCVFD (Brown County Volunteer Fire Department) has received payment.

Pay via check: Make checks payable to Brown County Volunteer Fire Department and include the address of the inspection in the Memo line. Mail checks to PO Box 183, Nashville, Indiana 47448
